10 girls were told they could not attend school until they underwent pregnancy and STD testing after they skipped class to attend a "hooky" party, according to a lawsuit filed by the students' families on Tuesday.
$1 for admission with bets of up to $4 on fights at a Roanoke, Va., 4-H children's' summer camp. Roanoke County Sheriff's officers said on Tuesday they are investigating allegations that counselors at the camp arranged fistfights between boys aged 9 to 13, charged admission and allowed betting.
125 barns owned by Buckeye Egg Farm, Ohio's largest egg producer, were ordered closed by the State on Tuesday because of years of complaints about odors, pollution and flies. The order requires the company to remove all birds from the barns, clean out feed bins, drain all water lines and shut off water service.
$170,00 will be paid to Former Montgomery County Police Charles Moose for a book he's to write called, "Three Weeks in October: The Manhunt for the Serial Sniper." The Montgomery County Ethics Commission reached a deal with Moose on Tuesday to allow him to write the book.
$1 per head of cattle won't have to be paid by American beef farmers and ranchers to support the "Beef: It's what's for Dinner"marketing campaign, according to a Federal Court of Appeals ruling. The three-judge panel unanimously affirmed a 2002 ruling by a U.S. District Judge who ruled the national "check-off"campaign violates the First Amendment rights of the ranchers.
