President Bush arrives in Tucson this week to view areas burned by the Aspen Wildfire
"I think it is nice that he is coming at a really hot time of year. He should get a real feel of Arizona. There isn't much he can do (about the fires)."
Sylvia Jo Miles, media arts administrative secretary
"I think it's a great thing for Tucson, since it is just so personal to all of us that he would come. For him to take the time to come is a good thing."
Devin Kim, cello performance senior
"I don't know; why you would you protest his presence simply because he is coming? You can be against his policies, but why can't he come? You know? Those forest fires have been a big problem. Why not let him come and visit, talk, whatever? He still has to focus on his issues, which he is not. But that is a different story."
Alex Veneman, chemistry graduate student
"Why shouldn't he visit? He should have come a long time ago, in my opinion. But I think it's great, especially with Mount Lemmon. We deserve to have some support out here."
Lisa Buczko, agricultural economics graduate student
"I don't really care that much that he is coming. He is going to go up and look at the fires probably, so I don't think it's going to make a big difference either way."
Amy Sherry, studio art senior
"I think he is just doing it for politics ÷ to try and push his forest-thinning program."
Bill McCloskey, associate specialist for plant sciences
