A woman was arrested at the UA Bookstore, 1303 E. University Boulevard, last Monday after store security caught her attempting to steal a whistle, reports stated.
When police arrived, security provided officers with a video that showed the suspect stealing the penny whistle, valued around $8, reports stated.
The woman was cited and released at the scene after being told that she is no longer allowed in the bookstore, reports stated.
A bike tire was stolen from a bike parked on the west side of the Slonaker House, 1017 E. Second St., last Monday reports stated.
Police have no suspects or witnesses.
Police were called to the Student Union Memorial Center, 1303 E. University Blvd., after an employee noticed a damaged golf cart last Monday, reports stated.
The employee told police that he had gone out to the cart and found the ignition of the vehicle missing, reports stated.
The vehicle was inoperable and the mirror on the cart had been removed.
Police have no suspects or witnesses.
A UA employee phoned police last Monday after finding a broken window in the Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering building, 1130 N. Mountain Ave., reports stated.
The door's glass had been completely shattered but remained in place, reports stated.
Officers at the scene observed a small hole in the window that they believed was made by a low-caliber bullet, reports stated.
Officers could not find a shell casing or bullet in the surrounding area, reports stated.
Police have no suspects or witnesses.
Five ladders and a spool of cable were stolen out of the back of two UA pick-up trucks parked in a parking lot east of the Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering building, 1130 N. Mountain Ave., between Aug. 1 and Aug. 4, reports stated.
According to the two employees that operate the vehicles, both had locked and secured the ladders with chains before leaving around 5:30 p.m. on Friday, August 1, reports stated.
One vehicle's chain and the other's padlock had been cut, allowing access to the ladders, reports stated.
The ladders and cable had an approximate value of over $1,700, reports stated.
There was no other damage to the vehicles, reports stated.
Police have no suspects or witnesses.
A man was arrested last Monday for displaying a fake registration tag and suspended license near the intersection of East Speedway Blvd. and North Park Ave., reports stated.
After stopping the man for displaying a fictitious tag, a records check showed that the man's license was suspended, reports stated.
When asked how he had obtained the fake tag, the man told police that someone at a party had put the sticker on his car, reports stated.
Police took the license plate off the car and placed it into evidence, reports stated.
The man was cited and released at the scene, reports stated.
Police were called to the Main Gate Garage, 815 E. Second St., after a woman's car was hit by an unknown vehicle last Monday, reports stated.
The woman said she parked her 1992 Mercury Grand Marquis on the first floor at 4:30 p.m. and found the damage when she returned at 5:15 p.m., reports stated.
According to reports, both the left rear fender and the left rear quarter panel were damaged.
The top of the fender had a dent in it and a large black scratch ran from the fender to the panel, reports stated.
Police have no suspects or witnesses.
Over $800 worth of property was stolen from a woman's car Aug. 2 while it was parked in the Arizona-Sonora Residence Hall parking lot, 910 E. Fifth St., reports stated.
The woman's stereo was stolen along with a CD case that contained over 200 CDs, reports stated.
The driver's side window had been shattered and the door lock was broken, reports stated.
Police could not find any fingerprints on the vehicle, reports stated.
