No. 9 Michigan vs No. 2 Ohio State

The best running back in football is named · Maurice Clarett? Sounds like a pastry chef or an Impressionist painter. Running backs have nicknames like ÎBus' or ÎTank' or ÎMoose.' What nickname do you give an oft-injured guy named Maurice Clarett? ÎPeugeot?' Having a WR/DB named Gamble might make up for it. Clarett says he'll play, and if he does, OSU wins at home.

Ohio State 31 Michigan 24

No. 23 Texas Tech vs No. 5 Oklahoma

The best passing offense in the country meets one of the best defenses this weekend in Norman, and there's no 12th man on the Texas team's side this time. Texas Tech seems to have a penchant for alliteration, and not just in its name. Kliff Kingsbury leads the offense, passing to Wes Welker, but can't they please put RB Loliki Bongo-Wanga in, just for one play?

Oklahoma 45 Texas Tech 38

No. 7 USC vs No. 24 UCLA

What happened to the glory days of this rivalry? Tommy Trojan used to get painted blue every time this game rolled around, but now both teams are too busy finding new ways to violate NCAA rules to get fired up. When WSU wins out and makes the Fiesta, USC should be smelling roses in Pasadena. Does that mean he'll be Carson "Rosy" Palmer?

Southern Cal 54 UCLA 28

Washington vs No. 3 Washington State

Don't bother to wake up Granny Smith, because the Apple Cup's going to be a blowout. Some of these other guys are saying that both of these teams "almost" lost to UA, so it should be close. By that logic, the Wildcats almost lost to Cal, North Texas and Utah, so UA's almost 1-10. Throw out D1-AA Northern Arizona, and the Wildcats are almost perfect!

No. 9 Michigan vs No. 2 Ohio State

The last time that OSU took an undefeated record into its home finale against Michigan, the Wolvies ruined the Buckeyes' year. It was so bad that fans were pepper-sprayed and maced to keep them off the field. This day will be no better for "The Ohio State University." What's with that anyway? Well, the extra "the" won't help the Buckeyes Saturday.

Michigan 27 Ohio State 14

No. 23 Texas Tech vs No. 5 Oklahoma

If Tech wins, it goes to the Big 12 Championship game. Same with Oklahoma. Nobody would have thought that Tech had a chance at the beginning of the year. Kliff Kingsbury is the real deal, and look for him to have another big day. Of course, Oklahoma's defense is always trouble, and this year is no different. Gonna be a good one.

Oklahoma 23 Texas Tech 17

No. 7 USC vs No. 24 UCLA

This game is, like, totally the battle for control of SoCal. Both teams are hella-good, and each team can, like, totally win this game. This one will come down to one thing ÷ quarterback play. Carson Palmer is like, so totally hot right now, and UCLA has a definite issue with their QB. This game is like, a total no-brainer. Duh, as if ·

USC 31 UCLA 13

Washington vs No. 3 Washington State

So the Huskies had a good game last week. So what? Some people are saying that Rick Neuheisel came up with a good game plan and out-coached Oregon. Not me. Slick Rick still sucks. This week he comes up against the Cougs, who could be the hottest team in the nation right now. It's not gonna be close. P.S. His wife is hot.

No. 9 Michigan vs No. 2 Ohio State

This is what college football is all about. One of the biggest rivalries is renewed this weekend, and Michigan has another opportunity to knock Ohio State out of a big bowl and a chance of playing for the national championship. Michigan will once again play the spoiler and ruin any hope of Ohio State going to Tempe.

Michigan 17 Ohio State 14

No. 23 Texas Tech vs No. 5 Oklahoma

Can Texas Tech upset another top-five team and scorch one of the best defenses for another 500-plus-yard offensive day? I think not. The Sooners know that they are a Michigan win and a Washington State or Miami loss away from going to Tempe, and they are going to be on a mission. I look for the Sooners to win by at least 2 touchdowns.

Oklahoma 31 Texas Tech 14

No. 7 USC vs No. 24 UCLA

I have been saying it for the past three month and I will say it again ÷ the Trojans would give Miami the best run for its money in the Fiesta Bowl. The Bruins have been playing well, but Carson Palmer is going to pick apart the UCLA defense and the Bruins will be unable to score on one of the nation's best defenses.

USC 35 UCLA 17

Washington vs No. 3 Washington State

The Apple Cup may be on one of the most underrated rivalries in college football. The Huskies would love nothing more than to kill WSU's national title hopes. The Cougars only loss this season was to Ohio State, but they almost lost to the Wildcats, which means anything is possible. With everything on the line, Jason Gesser will find a way to keep WSU's national championship hopes alive.

No. 9 Michigan vs No. 2 Ohio State

Maurice Clarett has said that Maurice Clarett is going to play. Great, Ross loves it when athletes talk in third person. Ross thinks the Wolverines are still bitter after last year's game and Ross says this will be perfect redemption. The BCS will, once again, fail to produce a championship game that makes Ross happy, unless, somehow, Georgia and Iowa end up in Tempe.

Michigan 27 Ohio State 26

No. 23 Texas Tech vs No. 5 Oklahoma

This game has more drama and potential to score than a sorority house on a Friday night. Leach was under Stoops in Norman and guided Heupel before going to Lubbock with Kingsbury who now plays for a Big 12 South championship. These two QBs combine for about a 300 rating; that means the Red Raider offense penetrates the red zone more than · you get the idea.

Texas Tech 37 Oklahoma 28

No. 7 USC vs No. 24 UCLA

The only thing that these teams and Pasadena have in common is that they're all from L.A. Yes, all SoCal is L.A., with the exception of Anaheim. The Trojans can keep New Year's plans available, but they need outside help. Carson Palmer needs to turn more heads to get a trophy and the USC defense should get hella turnovers against two freshmen QBs.

South Central 42 Westwood 20

Washington vs No. 3 Washington State

On paper, this should be a good game of statistics and history. However, we live in a world of emotion and fruit. I refuse to believe Jason Gesser is Hawaiian. I also refuse to believe he's going to let Neuhesiel sweep him. Gesser is a tough, resilient QB. I like that, almost as much as Penso likes Ken Dorsey and Miami.
