Tomorrow's game might feel like dŽjˆ vu for Western Kentucky.

For the second-straight season, the Hilltoppers will open against a top-five team named the Wildcats on the road.

Last season, WKU made noise when it upset Kentucky 64-52 on its home floor, and tomorrow at 2 p.m. Western Kentucky is hoping the same will happen against the Arizona Wildcats.

"Playing the top team in the country is a great way to start the season," senior forward David Boyden said. [Read article]

The Arizona women's basketball team will tip off its much-anticipated season tonight when it faces No. 3 Louisiana State at McKale Center at 7.

DePaul, located in Chicago, was a late addition to the Icecats' schedule, after Buffalo pulled out of its commitment to visit Tucson just weeks before the season kicked off. [Read article]

The Arizona club team is among the 16 schools vying for this weekend's National Intramural Recreational Sports Association's (NIRSA) ultimate soccer prize.

UA is ranked No.1 in NIRSA's region six, and the players say they are confident.

"We believe we can win," senior keeper Paul Anderson said. "Our talent is in place, we're going out to win. The taste of losing is unsettling." [Read article]

Arizona women's volleyball unable pull upset

Los Angeles-- The Arizona women's volleyball team had an opportunity last night to establish itself among elite programs in the country, but they were unsuccessful.

The 16th ranked Wildcats were outplayed and at times dominated by No. 1 Southern California 0-3 (17-30, 22-30, 26 - 30).
