A UA employee reported to police that a man raised his voice toward her Tuesday at 1230 E. Speedway Blvd., reports stated.

The man approached her and asked whether he could be added to an algebra class that she was teaching. She said that she wouldn't add him because the class was already full, reports stated.

The man became irate and began asking why he couldn't be allowed in. The woman said that though he didn't make any threats, he was getting louder and louder, reports stated.

The woman called police and the man left without incident, reports stated.

A UA employee received an unsolicited e-mail at her UA e-mail address in the Ina E. Gittings building, 1713 E. University Blvd., Tuesday, reports stated.

The e-mail showed a young blonde woman lifting her shirt high enough to reveal her breasts and nipples. There was also an instant link to www.freecelebsbabes.com but no associate's address to contact, reports stated.

The woman told police that she usually gets e-mail with scantly clad people, but this was the first one that showed any nudity. She considered it "spam" and was not offended, but she did want to file a report, reports stated.

The woman was advised by a UA officer to delete the e-mail.

A UA student was attacked by an unknown man at 2:24 p.m. Tuesday in the Cochise Residence Hall lobby, 1018 E. South Campus Drive, reports stated.

The student was studying in the lobby with a female student and the man. The student admitted to "yakking" rather loudly to another resident that was sitting behind the main desk, reports stated.

The man asked the student to be quiet, but the student thought that he was joking and continued to talk. The man then stood up and pushed the student, yelling profanities, and grabbing him by the throat, reports stated.

The hall director witnessed the attack before the man ran from the building, reports stated.

Responding officers observed that the student had red marks on his throat and offered to call for medical attention, which the student denied, reports stated.

Police were unable to verify the identity of the attacker.

A UA student's CD player/radio was stolen from her car Wednesday at 2603 E. First St., reports stated.

The student purchased the radio three weeks ago because it featured a retractable black face cover to disguise it, reports stated.

The student also told police that the vehicle had dark, tinted windows that would not have made the radio visible from the outside.

The student told police that she thought employees from the store where she bought the radio might have been responsible because she left her parking permit hanging in the window when she had the radio installed, reports stated.

A UA maintenance worker found a $150 check outside the Arizona/Sonora dorm at 910 E. Fifth St., Wednesday, reports stated.

The check was inside a Christmas card.

A UAPD officer attempted three times to get a hold of the person to whom the check was made out, but was unsuccessful. The check was taken back to the UAPD station as evidence, reports stated.

A UAPD officer responded to a call of criminal damage at the Gould-Simpson building, 1040 E. Fourth St., Monday after someone called police to report two damaged vending machines, reports stated.

The damage occurred after someone attempted to pry the two Pepsi-Cola machines open, rendering them inoperable, reports stated.

Police do not have any suspects, but they did contact the vending machine company to inform them of the damage, reports stated.
