Arizona blows 14-point lead, loses to Seton Hall to end season
Arizona (20-10) came out in the first half and dominated, looking like a Final Four contender. Then the Wildcats fell apart, and both the game and the season ended with bitter disappointment.
Seton Hall (21-9) outscored Arizona 39-18 in the last 15 minutes of last night's first-round NCAA Tournament game, erasing a 14-point UA lead to beat the Wildcats, 78-75.
"It seems like a repeat of our problem all year long," head coach Lute Olson said following his team's season-ending loss. "We have a hard time living with prosperity."

Seton Hall turns trick on Wildcats in second half in RBC Center
A sluggish start erased a late second-half run. A marquee point guard stepped up to throw one dagger after another, carrying his team to an NCAA tournament victory.
The only difference: Seton Hall turned the Wildcats' own tricks against them, kicking Arizona to the proverbial NCAA curb after just a single game with a 80-76 victory. The loss marked the Wildcats' earliest March exit since a first-round defeat at the hands of Oklahoma in 1999.
The eighth-seeded Pirates rattled off a 23-5 second-half run immediately after Arizona gained its largest lead of the game, a 14-point advantage with 14 minutes to play.

Duke advances to second round; will face UA/Seton Hall winner - March 18, 2003
The No. 1 seed Blue Devils trounced Alabama State this afternoon, 96-61 In Raleigh, N.C. during the first round of the NCAA tournament.
Reserve Shavlik Randolph scored 20 points and five Blue Devils scored in double figures to lead Duke into the second round, where it will face the winner of tonight's Seton Hall vs. Arizona game.
Playing in front of a packed RBC Center crowd less than 15 miles from their campus, the Blue Devils ran a full-court press from ASU's opening possession. The press yielded 15 first-half turnovers, and by the 10:00 mark of the first half, Duke had doubled up the Hornets, 28-14.

Bush will not speak at graduation
President Bush will not speak at commencement this year, the UA announced Monday afternoon.
Alumnus Steve Kerr, a former professional basketball player, will deliver the commencement speeches and the graduation will be returned to McKale Center, where it will be divided into a morning and afternoon ceremony. [Read Article]

Nonresident tuition increased by $700
Arizona residents will pay another $490 in tuition next year, and nonresidents will see their bills rise by $700.
The Arizona Board of Regents approved those increases, which were proposed by President Peter Likins, by an 8-1 vote yesterday. In doing so, they rejected a student lobbyist proposal asking for a $400 increase for residents.
The regents also approved a $25 fee for all resident undergraduate applicants, a move that should raise a little more than $250,000 to assist in student recruitment.
