ASUA will be giving out free pizza and Pepsi to the first 100 Zona Zoo members who show up to the UA baseball game Sunday at noon at Sancet Stadium.

Free Zona Zoo baseball T-shirts will be handed out, and students are encouraged to come wearing their bathing suits, as there will be a beach theme.

Zona Zoo members can attend the game for free with their CatCard.

Amber Harryman, assistant spirit director, said students should come in order to support the Wildcats and keep their spring break tan.

ASUA is now accepting applications from all organizations for the annual C. Edgar Coyette award that is given to campus organizations that do the most for the UA and the community.

Applications are due before noon on April 12 in the ASUA application box.

The application consists of answering three questions regarding the philanthropic activity of the organization.

The winner of the award will be announced at the Evening of Excellence on April 19.

For the past two years, Alpha Phi Omega has received the award.

The ASUA Senate approved the Appropriations Board consent agenda for $4,544.08 in funding for seven clubs at the UA.

Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority received $1144.58 to host the first-ever Black Student Awards. The event will recognize outstanding students.

The American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics requested $2,223 in special funding to attend Cessna/ONR/Design/Build/Fly competition in Wichita, Kan. from April 23-25.

It only received $1,000 since that is the precedent for national competitions.

The Society of Mining Metallurgy and Exploration requested and received $1,000 to attend a national competition in Butte, Mont., from April 2 to 3.

The club has traditionally placed well in several of the competitions, including jackleg drilling, surveying and gold panning.

The Student Nurses at the University of Arizona requested and received $612.96 to attend the National Student Nurses convention in Nashville, Tenn. from March 31 to April 5.

The amount given is $12.96 over the precedent usually given to clubs to attend conventions but the board felt the event was important and the amount over was only a small amount.

The Desert Gardeners requested and received $150 to put on a campus-wide gardening event in the hopes of increased plant awareness at a campus level.

The Multicultural Business Association received $236.54 in special funding to put on the annual Night of Excellence on March 30 to recognize outstanding minority business students who have achieved a GPA higher than 3.0.

Tau Beta Sigma received $400 to attend a convention from April 2 to 4 to vote on policy changes and elect new officers for the Western District.

The club provides service to collegiate bands and promotes the appreciation of band music.

The ASUA Senate approved the $673.25 budget for the Zone Zoo tailgate party from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on April 17 out on the UA Mall.

The event will allow students to meet the new head football coach, Mike Stoops, choose the new Zona Zoo T-shirt design, and meet new and old ASUA senators.

Troy's Bucket will play for two hours and there will be free Eegee's. The tailgate is the result of collaboration between the cabinet, executive and administrative branches of ASUA.

The Arizona Student Association also plans on doing a voter registration drive.
