Students should vote on fee referendum
Brett Berry yet again shows that he is a fool. In his section of the "Issue of the Week," he encourages students to protest the activity fee election by not voting. Mr. Berry, by not voting you are putting yourself in the same category as those who don't vote because they don't care. No matter your reason, not voting is just saying "I'm going to let other people decide for me." Although I'm personally against the activity fee, I can still respect someone who votes for it, but I don't want to hear one word of complaint out of anyone who did not vote in this election, or any other for that matter, regardless of the reason.

The Raucous Caucus: Fee or bust! ASUA and the last crusade
Hey, guess what everyone? This is your last day to vote!
That's right, because the ASUA Senate, in its infinite wisdom, decided March 31 that we were going to vote this week on the student activity fee. And today, exactly one week later, is the last day to do so.
A month after the Collaboration Board decided that this fee wasn't ready for a student vote, it is now marching ahead in less than a week's time, and our student senate was gullible enough to happily agree.

A Wider Lens: Making Maryland a better place
On Feb. 29, Lynne Cheney, Vice President Dick Cheney's wife, spoke at the University of Maryland, College Park. The speech itself was not as controversial as the storm that emerged a little over a month after it was delivered.
One might assume that college students would have learned basic skills of polite human interaction at least 10 years prior to enrolling, but there's a reason that assessing things based on assumptions is generally accepted as bad policy.
