The Arizona women's tennis team enters the Pac-10 Championships today in Ojai, Calif., after finishing tied for sixth in the conference.

The Wildcats (6-12, 2-6 Pacific 10 Conference) send four singles players and two doubles teams to the main draw, including No.14 Dianne Hollands, who has achieved the highest ranking of her career. Junior Maja Mlakar, senior Debbie Larocque and junior Kelly Perry will also make the trip.

"It's no different than before except that it's an individual tournament," said assistant coach Petar Danolic. "Everyone's playing for themselves. We have to take one match at a time, and hopefully we'll get some good wins."

Hollands faces Wendy Pilecka of Arizona State in the first round. Mlakar takes on Lorena Arias of Washington State, while Larocque plays Dianne Matias of USC and Perry battles Theresa Logar of Stanford.

"I like every matchup we have," Danolic said. "Kelly Perry is going to have a tough match against Logar, who hasn't lost much this year."

In the doubles draw, the No. 8 team of Hollands and Mlakar will match up against the Sun Devil duo of Pilecka and Cindy Sureephong.

The other doubles team, Larocque and freshman Kasia Jakowlew, will take on ASU's Lauren Colalillo and Kady Pooler.

"I'll be surprised if Maja and Dianne don't win their first round match," Danolic said. "They have to play aggressive and with lots of energy, and I'm sure they can beat any team in the nation."

In the invitational part of the draw, Arizona sends Jakowlew, sophomore Iza Ferreira and freshman Jessie Rochefort, along with the doubles team of Perry and Rochefort.
