Freshman pitches at 70 mph, says students only know Eloy because of the skydiving

Wildcat: So, my name's Nathan and you're on the spot.

Guevara: Pablo.

Wildcat: All right, Pablo. You've got to explain why you're throwing a softball at our brick buildings here.

Guevara: Break the red bricks, right?

Wildcat: Is that what you're trying to do?

Guevara: Well, I'm going to try out for an American Softball Association team here in Tucson. No. 1 team in the country right here. The girls. Yeah.

Wildcat: You're going to join the girls' team or what?

Guevara: Yeah, no. Well, there's a men's team here, though.

Wildcat: Ah. How long you been out here? You're all sweaty, man.

Guevara: I've been out here half an hour. I've thrown about a hundred pitches.

Wildcat: So, what do you have to do with your arm when ... (Guevara flexes) Whoa. Ha. Musculos. So afterwards, do you soak it in ice or what? Do you have your mom pull on it or something?

Guevara: Yeah, well, my mom's at home so ÷ she lives in Eloy ÷ she can't do it.

Wildcat: Cool. Eloy. I bet you like 95 percent of the people on campus have never even heard of Eloy.

Guevara: They do because of skydiving.

Wildcat: Do they have a big graveyard over there?

Guevara: Only six people have died there, so ·

Wildcat: Oh really? How long have they been open? So, you guys do underhand pitching? I think if I ever tried to pitch underhand, it would shoot straight up.

Guevara: Do you want to go stand over there?

Wildcat: Are you serious? Play dodge ball against the wall? You're sadistic.

Guevara: I play volleyball, too.

Wildcat: Do you spike like you throw softballs? Come up to the net with your back to it and spike it backwards.

Guevara: No. Be sure to put in there I pitch 70 mph.
