Question: What do you think of the new border art exhibit on the Mall?

Photo

"It's a good depiction of the situation, but the Mall isn't an ideal place for it. It'd be better in a museum or by the art building."

Keenan Smith
economics
senior

Photo

"The placement makes it lose meaning because you're rushing to class and don't have time to stop and think about it."

Ashley Orr
communications
sophomore

"I think it's an interesting piece of art work ... it represents something culturally important to our society and specifically this area."

Kara Gales
political science
junior

"It's interesting, yeah, but it's blocking the entire walkway. Couldn't they have put it somewhere else? It's kind of inconvenient where it is."

Melissa Cattaneo
retailing and consumer sciences
senior

"I think it's cool. I think it would look better without the trees blocking it though. What I see is conflict, two sides pushing against each other."

Benjie Arandia
chemical engineering
freshman

"It draws the people's attention the way that real life border issues should. Hopefully, people will be forced to think about those issues and the significance of them."

Jamie Stone
undecided
freshman
