Building dedication to honor Ch‡vez will take place Sunday
The official dedication of the Ch‡vez/Economics building in honor of CŽsar E. Ch‡vez, the Yuma-born farm labor organizer, will take place at the UA on Sunday, from 2 p.m. ÷ 4 p.m. in front of the building. Free parking will be available at the Second Street Garage, located at East Second Street and North Mountain Avenue and in the Cherry Garage at North Cherry Avenue and East Enke Drive.
Multi-cultural festival will take over downtown Tucson
The Tucson Meet Yourself Multi-cultural Festival will take place Friday through Sunday at El Presidio park in downtown Tucson. This year the festival will celebrate its 30th anniversary. Based on attendance in past years, Festival organizers expect as many as 25,000 people this year.
On Friday, entertainment begins at 6 p.m. The festival on Saturday runs from 10 a.m. ÷ 10 p.m., and Sunday from 11 a.m. ÷ 6 p.m.
ÎWayne Brady and Friends' invades McKale Center Friday
The University Activities Board presents "Wayne Brady and Friends" during Family Weekend at McKale Center.
Known as a "multi-dimensional" and "natural-born entertainer," Brady is mostly recognized for his Emmy-nominated work on ABC's "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" and Emmy-winning talk show, "The Wayne Brady Show."
With a CatCard, prices are $17, $22, $28. Receive $10 off admission by purchasing a pair of UA football home-game tickets. Tickets can be purchased at the McKale Center Box Office. Parking is available in the Cherry Avenue Garage, located on North Cherry Avenue and East Enke Drive.
