A student was arrested Saturday at 11:38 p.m. for underage drinking after she tried to discard a beer can in a Zone 1 parking lot, 1151 N. Vine Ave., reports stated

Police saw the student exit the Kappa Sigma fraternity house, 1423 E. First St., and walk to the parking lot with a beer in her hand, reports stated.

The student saw police watching her and she tried to hide the beer behind her leg, reports stated.

As police approached her, the student made a quick move as if she was discarding something, reports stated.

Police confronted the student and the can she was previously holding was missing from her hand, reports stated.

Police found the can near where they saw the student throw it, reports stated.

The student said she got the beer from a friend inside Kappa Sigma and said she had been drinking earlier at a "date dash," reports stated.

The student was cited and released at the scene.

Three students and a man were arrested for possession of marijuana Saturday at 7:07 p.m. in Coronado Residence Hall, 822 E. Fifth St., reports stated.

Police responded to a call from an employee who said he smelled a strong odor of marijuana, reports stated.

Police arrived at the scene and smelled the burnt odor, reports stated.

Police approached the door and could hear a woman's voice say, "This is the first time I've seen this; there's a little boy in here smoking a joint," reports stated.

The voice stopped when police knocked on the door and said "Police, open the door," reports stated.

One student opened the door and police could smell a strong odor of marijuana even though the fan was going, reports stated.

Police found a man trying to escape through the bathroom to another room and asked him to go back to the room for questioning, reports stated.

The three students and the man all said they smoked the marijuana, reports stated.

One student told police he lived in the room, but gave police a fictitious drivers license, reports stated.

Police searched the desk and found a wooden "frog" smoking pipe, reports stated.

Police also found a bag containing a green, lefty substance, reports stated.

Police saw a picture in the room of two of the students drinking beer at a party and warned them about underage drinking, reports stated.

The man and the three students were cited for possession of marijuana and one of the students was cited for false identification.

Someone kicked in a door sometime Saturday at the McKale Center, 1721 E. Enke Drive, reports stated.

A student contacted police because he noticed a door to the men's locker room was damaged, reports stated.

No property was missing and nothing was damaged inside the locker room, reports stated.

The athletics department called Facilities Management to replace the broken door, reports stated.

Police have no suspects or witnesses.
