Coming off of a 10-day long break, No. 50 Arizona (4-1 overall, 0-1 Pacific 10 Conference) will head to the Lone Star State for three matches in two days.
Today, UA will take on No. 67 Rice (3-0) in Houston. The Owls lead the all-time series, 3-1.
Tomorrow, the Wildcats will open a doubleheader against North Carolina State (0-3). The struggling Wolfpack has registered three singles wins in the spring season and are fresh off a 7-0 loss at the hands of No. 67 St. Mary's on Feb. 3.
In the nightcap, the Wildcats will face Lamar (1-6, 0-2 in Southland Conference), another team looking to snap a two-match losing streak.
The Cardinal is also reeling from a 7-0 defeat from Texas-Arlington on Feb. 11.
The lackluster opponents tomorrow have Arizona upbeat for the weekend.
"We're looking to go 3-0 on the road this year," senior Jari Niskala said.
