Looking for some reading material? The Arizona State Museum Very Nearly Annual Benefit Book Sale features its largest selection to date. Architecture, archaeology, anthropology, ethnic cooking and music books will be among the available titles at the sale. The Arizona Historical Society wants to sell stuff, too. The society is holding its 21st Annual White Elephant Sale to benefit AHS' educational programs. In the hot Southwest sun, skin cancer rates blow through the roof. That's why UA Life and Work Connections offers free skin-cancer screening today from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. No appointment is necessary, and people are helped on a first-come, first served basis.
