Creative outlets over coffee
When Friday night rolls around, some UA students park their cars in the lot along Speedway Boulevard and head to Dirtbag's, while a few others make their way to Bentley's House of Coffee and Tea, trading booze for lattes and dance music for tunes of a more acoustic bent.
Friday night is open mic night at Bentley's. Anyone can sign up for a 15-minute performance time slot.
Open mic nights across Tucson are providing a creative outlet for performers, as well as evenings of leisurely entertainment for those in attendance.

Commentary: Plan to camp out for American Idol audition
I never ever thought that I, of all people, would find myself camped out in the line for American Idol auditions with 10,000 stardom hopefuls. But thanks to my overly optimistic friend Mackenzie, I somehow ended up spending two nights on the blacktop outside of Rose Bowl stadium in Pasadena. I didn't get much sleep.
Not that the constant attempts at diva-dom by those people practicing for their auditions had anything to do with it. Little did they know that Simon, Paula and Randy would not be around to astound with their amazing diva talents.

American Wedding
The cast of the hilariously funny "American Pie" movies has teamed up once again, but this time for a very special occasion. Jim (Jason Biggs) has put the historic apple pie scene behind him and is headed down the aisle to marry his favorite band geek, Michelle (Alyson Hannigan).
Fan favorite Stifler (Seann William Scott) reappears as an East Great Falls High bus driver and football coach whose goal is to give Jim the best bachelor party ever and to score with Michelle's virgin younger sister, Cadence (January Jones).
