A man was arrested Sunday after police learned he had been following and videotaping a woman in the Tyndall Garage, 880 E. Fourth St., reports stated.

The man told police he had just stopped a rape from occurring and that he was following the woman with the camera to make sure she was all right, reports stated.

Another officer near the scene found the female and told police that the man had been following her and harassing her since the intersection of East Sixth Street and North First Avenue to the garage, reports stated.

A review of the video showed close-ups of the victim with the camera focusing on the woman's skirt and thighs, reports stated.

In the video, the victim could be heard asking the suspect to put the camera down, reports stated.

The suspect could be heard asking the woman if she was a "porn star" and if she wanted to make a porn video, reports stated.

The man was arrested and transported to Pima County Jail, reports stated.

The suspect was charged with harassment as well as possession of marijuana after police found a bag of marijuana in the man's car, reports stated.

UAPD spokesman Sgt. Eugene Mejia told the Arizona Daily Star that the videotape contained images of at least four other women.

Video segments filmed by the suspect included scenes of women at bus stops, restaurants and possibly between the blinds of a window looking into a person's home, the Star reported Monday.

Police are currently looking for more information on the suspect and are asking any person who might have had contact with the suspect to contact them.

The man was arrested and transported to Pima County Jail.

The former employee, who worked at the Elevator Shop at 643 N. Mountain Ave., returned Friday to pick up his personal belongings, reports stated.

When two employees approached the man to retrieve his UA ID and his CatCard, the man became upset and began making threats, reports stated.

The suspect told the two employees, "Tell fucking (victim's name) I'll be waiting for him after work one day in the parking lot next week. I have his number," reports stated.

The victim said he did not wish to press charges and only wanted the event documented, reports stated.
