Team: Icecats
Position: center
Year: sophomore
Why Meehan won: Meehan scored three goals and had three assists during the Icecats' weekend split with Weber State and Utah State. He is the third Meehan brother to play at UA, as both Kevin and Brian are now members of the team's coaching staff. Meehan looks to retain his hot hand against top-ranked Penn State and No. 4 Delaware as the Icecats travel East this weekend.
Wildcat: The team seems to be off to a pretty good start at 3-1. What are your goals for this season?
Meehan: To play hard and win at nationals.
Wildcat: Would you rather score goals or be a playmaker and give assists?
Meehan: Whatever helps my team win.
Wildcat: OK, way to play both sides of the fence there. You started this season at left wing, but were moved back to center, your position from last season. Which do you prefer?
Meehan: I don't mind playing anywhere ÷ just as long as I'm out there I am happy.
Wildcat: You're just a walking book of clichŽs today, aren't you?
Meehan: My brothers told me to watch out for you reporters.
Wildcat: Who is better out of the three of you? You, Kevin or Brian?
Meehan: (Laughing) You mean you don't know by now?
Wildcat: Do you think they know you think this way?
Meehan: They'll find out when they read this, won't they?
Wildcat: True. What is the best part of playing with your two brothers and now having them coaching you?
Meehan: Hey, who is the Athlete of the Week here, them or me?
Wildcat: Fair enough.
Wildcat: Word association: T.C.C.
Meehan: Madhouse.
Wildcat: Hat trick.
Meehan: I don't know, I seem to always stop at two.
Wildcat: Desert hockey.
Meehan: Oxymoron.
Wildcat: Penn State.
Meehan: Done.
Wildcat: Coach Golembiewski.
Meehan: I'm speechless.
Wildcat: I am too.
