The department of German studies and the Poetry Center sponsor a lecture by Hans-Michael Speier titled "Night and Madness in the Poetry of Paul Celan" at 4:15 p.m. in the Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering building, Room 212.

The Poetry Center's Visiting Poets and Writers Series presents readings from undergraduate students in the UA's creative writing program in poetry at 8 p.m. in the Modern Languages auditorium. A reception will follow the readings.
