I don't think there's enough variety in our reviews here at the Wildcat. It's mostly movies and CDs. But there's always tons of new stuff getting left out.
Web sites, television, concerts, kitchen appliances and other random products should be covered. People need to know what kicks ass and what doesn't. Even the stuff that isn't that new, but is new to me, should be covered. Plus, people need to know how hard Subway's new sandwich sucks.
So I'll tell you:
My friend says her new toothbrush is really sensitive and gets all the hard to reach places. It's called Crest Dual Action or something. My friend likes dual action ·
I just picked up an old White Stripes album, and it is pretty much as good as the newer stuff. It's called De Stijl. Check out "Hello Operator."
I played this fantasy baseball game online and won $50. But they can't give prizes to people in Arizona and some other states. So don't play fantasy baseball. You'll get all worked up because you won some money, and then you'll get pissed.
I went to the RxBandits concert last Friday. It was awesome; you should have been there. But The Format ÷ a Phoenix band who is supposed to hit it big soon ÷ sucked hardcore. Plus, they ditched out of an interview before the concert, so they sucked even worse.
Grill on 100 E. Congress St. has the best grilled cheese sandwich. Get muenster cheese on marble rye. And dip your grilled cheese in ketchup! People think it's gross, but it's not.
I used the free Papa John's pizza coupon in the Student Discount Handbook that bookstores give away at the beginning of the semester. The pizza is tiny. Smaller than a Pizza Hut individual pizza. But at least it's free.
Lots of people think I'm stupid because I just found out about http://www.homestarrunner.com. But I'm sure some people haven't heard of it. Check out Teen Girl Squad and Strong Bad e-mails.
And this Web site is awesome, too: http://www.houstonjusticenotwar.org/. Go to the humor section and check out "What to do in a terrorist attack."
You can find some sweet used CDs at CD City on Campbell past Glenn, right next to Albertson's. For a total of $5, I picked up FenixTX's first album, the soundtrack to "Biodome" and the soundtrack to "Mallrats."
I said I was reviewing a movie for the paper when I was at a local theater and they let me in for free without even showing credentials. Try it out ·
"Nip/Tuck" is a kick-ass show. It's about these two plastic surgeons who go to freakish sex parties, get involved with the mafia and · go to more freakish sex parties. It's on FX on Tuesday at 10 p.m.
Sticking with television, there's a new reality show on SpikeTV called "Joe Schmo." All the characters are actors except one guy (Matt) who think it's real, kind of like "The Truman Show." The show is just so-so, but Matt does this bug-eyed face all the time when he gets shocked about something. It's hilarious. He's like, "Whaa?!"
Family Weekend was boring. Next time, we need to try and get way less menopausal mothers down here, and way more 28-34 year old divorcees who need to feel young again.
Subway's new sandwich is the Chipotle Southwest Steak and Cheese. It sucks really hard.
