A UA custodial worker saw a man break a glass window pane at the Highland Commons building, 1224 E. Lowell Road, Wednesday night after he fell off his skateboard, reports stated.

When police arrived, a man told them the custodial worker had seen the skateboarder fall off his skateboard. The skateboard had then shot out and struck the ground level windowpane.

Police saw the pane had extensive cracks in it. The man said the custodial worker told him she saw the skateboarder run away. Police were unable to locate the custodial worker or the skateboarder.

Maintenance was told about the damaged glass pane, reports stated.


Several items stolen in July were returned to the McKale center Tuesday.

A $400 baseball bat, $60 in wristbands, $150 in baseball gloves, and numerous drums of baseballs were returned to an assistant baseball coach Tuesday morning at the McKale Center, 1721 E. Enke Dr., reports stated.

Police recovered the items while serving a search warrant.

The items had been stolen July 15 from the baseball locker room and equipment room, reports stated.

Twenty-five $20 basketballs, seven $50 leather basketballs and a $5 mesh net bag were also returned to the basketball team Tuesday morning at McKale.

Police had seized the items while serving a search warrant.

The items were stolen sometime between June 1 and June 30 from the UA men's basketball team locker, reports stated.


A woman was arrested early Wednesday morning when police pulled her over at East University Boulevard and North Campbell Avenue after noticing her 1996 Nissan had an expired registration, reports stated.

When police asked the woman for her license, she said it was suspended because she had not paid a citation.

Police ran a record's check on the woman and saw that she had a TPD warrant.

Police then found a scale in one of the seat pockets.

The woman was arrested for having an outstanding warrant, driving on a suspended license and for possession of drug paraphernalia.

She was booked into Pima County Jail, reports stated.


A student's car was damaged Tuesday while it was parked in the Main Gate garage, 815 E. Second St., reports stated.

The student told police she had parked her car around 8 a.m. and said she noticed the damage when she returned around 3 p.m.

There were 5-inch scuffmarks that ran the length of the passenger door. There were also five white and gray scuffmarks on the driver side rear door.

Police did not know how the damage could have occurred.

Police have no suspects or witnesses, reports stated.


A woman on a bike found a black cell phone Wednesday morning and turned it into police at East University Boulevard and North Euclid Avenue, reports stated.

The woman told police she had found the phone on a pole.

Police called the phone's owner and left a message.

The phone was placed into police property for safekeeping, reports stated.


A student's $170 black road bike was stolen sometime between Oct. 31and Nov. 2 from the Main Gate garage, 815 E. Second St., reports stated.

The student told police he locked his bike with a cable lock around noon on Halloween. The student said he returned around noon two days later to find the bike gone.

Police have no suspects or witnesses, reports stated.


Three windows were smashed in a student's Acura sometime between Oct. 23 and Nov. 2 while the car was parked in the Main Gate garage, 815 E. Second St., reports stated.

The student said she parked her car around noon Oct. 23 and had returned around 10 a.m. on Tuesday to find the damage.

The student told police nothing was missing from the car.

Police noticed that the Acura's hood was popped open. Police made sure that no engine parts had been stolen.

The student said the Acura had been locked. Police found no evidence of tampering.

Police took pictures of the damage and put them into evidence.

Police have no suspects or witnesses, reports stated.
