A UA student was arrested after getting into a fight early Friday morning at Gentle Ben's, 865 E. University Blvd., and biting a police officer, reports stated.

The student got into a fight with another female inside the bar around midnight. The student was escorted out by three members of the door staff. The other female was allowed to remain inside because the student was the one who had caused the problem, reports stated.

The doormen said the student started fighting with the door staff and scratched and assaulted them.

When police arrived they noticed the student was drunk. The student was being argumentative with police and was crying.

The student kept cursing loudly to get the attention of the people entering and exiting the bar, reports stated.

The Gentle Ben's staff said they did not want to press charges against the student but said they wanted her to leave. The staff offered to pay for a cab to take the student home.

A friend of the student's said she would go with the student, but the student refused to get into the cab.

The fourth time that the student resisted getting into the cab she said she wasn't leaving until the woman she had been fighting with was arrested.

Police told the student that the staff was being very nice by not pressing charges and offering to pay for the taxi.

The student stood up and shouted, "you guys have to arrest that bitch and not me because they let her in and she is underage drinking in there."

The student then said, "I've lost my cell phone, and I'm not leaving until you arrest her," reports stated.

A crowd gathered around the girl, and she began cursing louder and refused to leave.

Police told the student if she didn't leave she would be arrested for disorderly conduct.

The student said she didn't care and wasn't leaving until the other woman was arrested.

Police handcuffed the student and she resisted. When police tried to put her into the car she began kicking her feet.

When an officer was putting the student's seatbelt on she looked like she was about to spit, so the officer raised his arm to cover his face and the student bit it.

The officer pulled away and saw teeth marks on his arm.

Pictures of the officer's arm were taken and put into evidence.

The student was booked into Pima County Jail for disorderly conduct and aggravated assault to a police officer, reports stated.

A man was arrested for a warrant from Tombstone Sunday afternoon after police pulled him over on East Broadway Boulevard and North Campbell Avenue, reports stated.

The man was pulled over because his windshield was broken and he had a brake light out.

The man gave police a driver's license from Mexico. A records check showed the man's Arizona license was suspended and he had a warrant.

The car was left at the scene, and the man was booked into Pima County Jail, reports stated.

A student's $150 black and green mountain bike was stolen sometime between Friday and Saturday from Pima Residence Hall, 1340 E. First St., reports stated.

The student said he locked his bike with a U-Lock around 3 p.m. Friday and returned around 5 p.m. Sunday to find the front tire still attached by the U-Lock, but the rest of the bike gone.

Police have no suspects or witnesses, reports stated.

Someone removed a UA employee's bag from her office Friday morning and put it on a stairwell in the College of Nursing, 1305 N. Martin Ave., reports stated.

When police arrived the employee said she left her office door open around 7:15 a.m. and returned a half hour later to find the bag gone. Another employee told her she saw the bag on the stairwell between the third and fourth floor.

The employee said nothing valuable was in the bag and nothing was missing. The employee said nothing else was missing from her office.

Police have no suspects or witnesses, reports stated.

Two students were diverted to the dean of students for underage drinking early Friday morning while they were climbing the stairs in Coronado Residence Hall, 815 E. Second St., reports stated.

Police noticed three students walking up the stairs and saw that one had a skateboard.

Police stopped to talk to the students and noticed that two of them smelled like alcohol.

The two students admitted that they had been drinking.

The students were diverted then released, reports stated.
