Faculty Sen. John Willerton to Student Body President Doug Hartz about the proposed fall break


"I knew it was going to be really close. I wasn't sure where Travis was going to be, he was kind of a dark horse."

Jered Mansell, ASUA presidential candidate, in reference to Travis Pritchett being eliminated from the ASUA race for student body president.


"My reason for support for any tuition hike is that the money's going into programs and not going into financial aid, unless they can prove a student can't afford to go anywhere."

"I have to admit the chastity thing is a bit of a challenge."

Damon Smith, a UA classics graduate student, who is considering going in to the priesthood.

Faculty Sen. John Willerton told Doug Hartz, about the proposed fall break.


"There are known knowns. These are things we know that we know. There are known unknowns. That is to say, there are things that we know we don't know. But there are also unknown unknowns. There are things we don't know we don't know."

Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld, clarifying U.S. policy on the war on terror at the Pentagon.


"In high school it's easy to say, ÎI could be a doctor, I could be a lawyer, I could be a classicist, I could be a priest.' But then you get near the end of college, and you start having to close doors. I was feeling like it was the time when I would have to (close the door) on the priesthood. But I couldn't close it."

Classics graduate student Damon Smith, explaining his decision to enter the priesthood.


"I'm not worried about me. We won the Pac-10 title."

Sophomore Salim Stoudamire shrugging off questions about missing 3-point shots and choosing instead to focus on the team's championship.


"What we have tried to do is secure the perimeter. We have a comprehensive track of who's coming in and out of the building."

Dennis Peloquin, Amer-X Security Inc. president, detailing the new security in the union.
