"Trading Spaces" to hit the UA campus
Two female and two male UA students will get down and dirty and do some redecorating Saturday night on "Trading Spaces."
Two of the show's designers, Genevieve Gorder and Edward Wilson, will help the students redecorate each other's rooms.
Gorder will add some Egyptian flair to the womens' living room, and Wilson will give the mens' living room a nightclub feel in red and purple.
Carpenter Ty Pennington will construct both a "Bizarre Bar" and breakfast bar for the rooms.
The episode airs at 9 p.m. Aug. 9 on TLC.

Search ends for top minority recruiter
After more than a month of searching, the Office of Admissions and New Student Enrollment has filled the position of assistant director for minority student recruitment and high school relations.
Marita Gomez, former assistant director for education counseling and associate director for high school recruitment and educational counseling, was appointed last week to the position. She is returning to the UA after a two-year leave.
Gomez has also worked as a counselor and teacher, and she has devoted much of her time to working with various groups from underrepresented populations.
Funding for faculty grant program cut
The Faculty Small Grants Program has lost 50 percent of its funding due to a loss of matching funds from the University of Arizona Foundation.
Now the program will only fund junior faculty members in tenure-track positions, and faculty can only apply for awards in the fall. In the past, there were two competitions per year.
In deciding who will receive awards, priority will now be given to assistant professors and to proposals with the potential to attract extramural support.

Anyone who is interested in being filmed can meet at 11:45 a.m. in the Center for Student Involvement and Leadership on the fourth floor of the Student Union Memorial Center.
